    • Wonderful! Every issue of Palookaville is cause for attention, but this volume is particularly significant. It includes the final installment of a Clyde Fans, a narrative Seth has been working on for years. But other contributions in the volume are likewise moving. The latest installment of “Nothing Lasts” is probably the best so far. Update, 1/12/2018 - I reread #23 in preparation of a podcast interview with Seth. Really looking forward to talking with Seth!

    • Remarkable. The standout has to be the conclusion to Clyde Fans, which began serialization twenty years ago (!) and concludes in a long, languorous, and enigmatic chapter, most of which is taken up with a sequence in which Simon's mind seems to wander through various desolate environments, working towards the realization that "life need not be challenged, confronted or conquered. It can be backed away from with dignity." The antithesis of heroic accomplishment, if ever there was one. Seth's ima [...]

    • Beautifully designed, laid out, and illustrated. Consists of three parts: 1. a continuation of his autobiography; 2. a selection of paintings from a recent exhibit; and 3. the end of the Clyde Fans series.

    • Another beautiful, architecturally striking effort from Seth. His autobiographical installment is particularly powerful, meditating on the imperfections of memory.

    • I have been a regular reader of Palookaville since Issue #1 and I can honestly say that that this book was by far the most satisfying, well crafted and compelling edition. Clyde Fans Part 5 juxtaposes poignant , powerful images with sparse poetic narration. This amazing work of genius only solidifies ,in my mind ,Seth's place as Canada's greatest cartoonist. 9.5/10. The only artists I have given 10/10 over my 30 years of reading indie/ alternative comix have been R.Crumb and Los Hernandez Bros. [...]
