    • Cohen just got dumped by his girlfriend of 5 years. He was planning on marrying her someday, even if there relationship wasn't totally perfect. He wasn't expecting her to break up with him and then telling him he wasn't impulsive enough. After his break-up, he tries to get back in the dating game and goes on a string of really awful blind dates. Maren has worked for Cohen's dad's furniture company for a year and they have talked on the phone almost everyday and struck up a friendship. Maren has [...]

    • Title: Risk Me (Silver Strands #2)Author: Lexi ScottPublication Date: July 28, 2015Also in this Series: Own MeGenres: Contemporary, New Adult, RomanceSource: ARC Given by Publisher and Tour Organizer through NetGalleyARA'S NOTE:I was actually quite undecided about whether or not I should review this book. The blurb made Cohen look a little too good and boring. I have no qualms about the good part, but I don't like the male lead to be dull and too tame. Eventually, my curiosity won out and I read [...]

    • This was an awesome story! Filled with humor, angst, family issues, and lots of sexy times! Very well written and I loved Cohen and Maren together.Cohen thinks his life is going along fine. Now, he's just been dumped, labeled "not impulsive", and stuck working for his parents. Deciding to look for some excitement is embarks on a hilarious round of blind dates.Maren has worked with the Cohen's forever. She loves her daily phone calls with Cohen and would love to get to know him better. Unfortunat [...]

    • When I found out this amazing series was being re-branded, redesigned, and released with added extras, I knew instantly that I had to read them all again. When I saw Risk Me on NetGalley I took a change and made my request.Risk Me is the story of Cohen, who we have met in Hide Me, and Maren, an employee from the warehouse. Risk Me begins with Cohen and Maren's only communication in the form of phone calls regarding orders, and slowly this leads to a friendship of sorts, and as the book progresse [...]

    • This is a story about taking chances, letting go of the past and moving forward. First half of the book is light-hearted, full of humour and a lot of texting. Maren and Cohen talk on phone almost everyday. They are co-workers, both love their daily phone call but never tell that to each other. Cohen is in a commited relationship and Maren's life is a mess. Then circumstances led them to actually meet and its infatuation at first sight. Cohen wants to date her but Maren is not ready as her life i [...]

    • Risk Me is book two in the Silver Strand series. Cohen Rodriguez does everything by the book. Never stepping outside his comfort zone. He works at his families furniture store – always reliable and dependable. He has had the same best friend, Deo – since they were in diapers. Never faltering. He seems quite content with his life and his girlfriend until she decides to dump him and to add insult to injury she tells him that he is just too predictable for her. After attempting to get over the [...]

    • 4.5 very happy Stars I loved this book. It was funny, sweet, sexy and real. It had an excellent pace and it kept me completely engaged the whole time. I’ve even finished a little sleep deprived, but it was totally worth it.Here we have Cohen Rodríguez, who’s a dependable guy. A hot, sexy, sweet and caring, dependable guy… which apparently is not good enough for his airheaded long-time girlfriend, who dumps him. Then there’s Maren. Her work is connected to shipments to Cohen’s family fu [...]

    • 4-1/2 starsG I loved this book! After Cohen's long-term girlfriend unexpectedly breaks up with him, citing that he's boring and predictable, he goes on a string of dates that end in epic disaster. Trouble is, there is one girl who's been on his mind--Maren, the mysterious problem-solver who works for his family's business. They've never met face-to-face, but they've talked on the phone for months about orders, shipping, and sales, and sometimes things got a little personal. Cohen's put her up on [...]

    • Risk Me by Lexi Scott is story about finding love in the least likely of places while also finding yourself. The story of Cohen and Maren is one that will intrigue you and keep you turning the page to find out what happens between these two, are they meant to be together or are they destined to remain friends? This story was a 3.5 star read for me and I would recommend it to others.Maren has known Cohen for years, working in the warehouse of his families furniture store. Talking to Cohen everyda [...]

    • Cohen has just been dumped by his long-time girlfriend. He's not all that heartbroken for the loss of the relationship, but her parting words did hurt. So determined prove his ex wrong and be impulsive, Cohen starts dating again. Unfortunately for him, all his dates turn out horrible in one way or another. It is during those moments that he reaches out to Maren his co-worker/phone pal for support and entertainment. Soon they're exchanging text messages on a regular basis. Maren enjoys talking to [...]

    • This story was hard for me to get into at first and I struggled with where Lexi was going with it. Once I kept reading though I totally understood that this was a book about learning to accept who are you for yourself and not to please anyone else. I loved the whole moral to the story that Lexi had with this one. It makes you take a look at yourself and see who you are trying to please or are you just trying to make yourself feel happy and achieve your own goals in life. When we meet Cohen, his [...]

    • I suppose in days gone by this would almost be classified as a fable or perhaps a parable. A story that comes with a moral tale woven in its fibres. Because this is one of those books that as you read the words you can’t help but think, why?Not as in why are you reading, No let me clarify – it is a meaning of life type Why? a good hard look at the world Why ?and a long drink from the pool of reflection Why?.This is a sit up at take notice of me story that when you have finished you will heav [...]

    • 4.5 / 5 starsReceived a copy of the title in exchange through publisher for an honest review; original post can be found at:mnonmklreviews/20Nothing like thinking you have forever with someone only to wake up the next morning and she's breaking up with you. This is what happens with Cohen. But as Kensley's walking out the door, he thinks back through the last week's encounters and finds the little clues saying she was looking to move on. Unsure of where to go from there, Cohen allows his friends [...]

    • Read the full review on Bookaholics Not-So-Anonymous.Note: This ARC was provided by Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest review.Conversations made via letters, email, texts, or phone calls can be business-like and strictly professional, shallow and trivial, or meaningful and thought-provoking. In Cohen and Maren's case, I imagine their conversations began as business associates, exchanging facts and figures and details pertaining to an order or two. Within the year they were talking, t [...]

    • Rating: 3.5/5This is the second book in the Silver Strands series, the first book being Hide Me, which I have also read and reviewed. Some of the characters are in both books and it is good to catch up with the progress of Deo and Whit’s romance whilst we learn more about the life of Deo’s best friend, Cohen Rodriguez. I don’t, however, think you need to read the first book to appreciate this one. Cohen works in his family’s furniture store and has just been dumped by his girlfriend who [...]

After being dumped by his girlfriend, who claims he is too predictable and has no sense of adventure. However, the dates he goes on are quite the adventure from getting puked on to having his date practically get it on with her ex, right in front of him.The only girl he seems to hit it off with is a girl he has never met. • Cohen Rodriguez’s girlfriend dumped him because, among other things, she finds him boring; she tells him he hasn’t grown up, and he doesn’t do anything exciting. Up to a point it’s true: Cohen is dependable, reliable, but he does do adventurous things occasionally. Cohen works at his father’s furniture store, Rodriguez Family Furnishings, for the time being, in any case. Maren Walshe works at Rodriguez’s warehouse, as their shipping coordinator. It’s also a temporary job for her, u [...]

    • Cohen works for his family furniture business. His long time girlfriend dumps him one morning because of his lack of impulsiveness. He goes on a few blind dates which turn out to be "quite interesting". Maren works for the business too but in a remote capacity. She speaks to Cohen on the telephone daily and looks forward to these calls. They develop a very good telephone relationship and Maren likes Cohen's personality despite not knowing what he looks like.Maren is going on a blind date and inv [...]

    • I fell in love with Cohen and Maren. This book has so much in it that you want to laugh, cry, and beat the crap out of someone. You not only deal with break-up, but also addiction, sketchy people, family issues as well as family drama. Cohen was just dumped by the girl he thought he was going to marry who claimed he wasn't impulsive enough. But for Cohen he was honestly content with being stable, dependable, and an all around good guy. Maren use to have a happy home until her parents divorced an [...]

    • Cohen is a great guy.a really great guy. The problem is he just can't find the right woman. He is what most women would love to have. Stable, reliable, sexy but is he interesting enough? He works for his parents running their furniture business which is where he meets Maren.Maren works for his parents and is well liked. She is not looking for a long term relationship just someone good to hook up with and enjoy what life offers. Her responsibilities are vast and there are things she just does not [...]

    • Cohen Rodriguez talks to Maren Walshe at work every day. Though they have never met, the attraction across the phone lines is obvious on both sides. Now they just need to meet in person and see if the sparks still fly.Cohen is no longer in a relationship, so he is free to go on a double date with Maren and get to know her in person. When their dates get together, Maren & Cohen stick together as well.Maren and Cohen have so much in common, being a couple seems like the logical next step. Only [...]

    • Risk Me is a retelling of Depths from back in 2013. This series was one of my absolute favorite series. Cohen works at a family business, is on top of the world with his girlfriend and doesn't have a care in the world. That is until his girlfriend breaks up with him because he isn't impulsive enough. He has his routines and doesn't really step out of the box. Maren is the girl on the other end of the phone. She has always had a little crush on Cohen and always cracks jokes about his dating life. [...]

    • I received this book from Entangled Publishing in return for a fair and honest review. This is the second book in the series although I haven't read the first. This was in no way detrimental to my enjoyment of this book.Maren and Cohen made just a fantastic couple, there's no two ways about it. However, what made this book so enjoyable was the dialogue between the two. Whether it was sexy, flirtatious, caring, funny, it didn't matter. The emotions came through loud and clear and made it simple to [...]

    • This was a very heart heavy book to read, especially for Maren. All that she had to go through in her life starting at a young age. Just so much sympathy for her as well as admiration at her loyalty. What a great love for her father! And Cohen was a rock, a big freaking hot protector! I loved him. He had some pretty funny scenes with blind dates that eventually lead to a funny friendship with Maren. I snickered at their first "date," but then their physical connection hit and it was like "Oh mom [...]

    • This ARC wasn't what I was expecting at all. Cohen is smart, has a hot girlfriend, and is a little predictable. When his girlfiend breaks up with him because he isn't outgoing enough, he ends up going on blind dates to find someone else. None of them go well. From vomit in the lap, to girl making out with ex, to girl being more interested in another guy. One thing that Helps him through is Maren. The voice from the phone he talks to everyday. Maren works for Cohen's dad. She's in charge of shipm [...]

    • I received a copy of this book from Netgalley/Entangled Publishing for an honest review. "Risk Me" (Silver Strands #2) by Lexi Scott had so much potential to be a steamy romance but with some depth. The book deals with the dynamics of families, recognizing that sometimes we enable the loved ones we are trying to help, and realizing that we deserve happiness. I really liked the theme of the book but it went off in the wrong direction for me. Cohen and Maren's was portrayed as being sensual and sw [...]

    • After getting dumped by his girlfriend of 5 years, Cohen tries to do the impulsive thing and starts going on blind dates which always end terribly. Maren has worked at Cohen's father's company for a year so they talk on the phone daily and eventually move on to texting. Maren is the perfect girl in Cohen's eyes so when she finally wants to meet, he feels like his image of her won't be as perfect.Risk Me is full of funny moment, but it also deals with family issues, so it keeps you intrigued. And [...]
