    • This book was excellent and really entertaining. It really talked a lot about sieges and horror of war. I recommend it as I did not know much about this period.


    • This book has nothing to do with lesbians, but I knew that before I started it. But Henty's books are excellent teaching tools, especially for boys; girls might like them, but I don't think Henty cared whether or not they did. The hero of this novel is Edward Martin who is half English and half Dutch, who is drawn into the Dutch revolution when members of his mother's family are killed by Spanish authorities.Ned is of the highest moral standards and even when he murders people he does so from a [...]
