    • SOholy moly this book was epic bad!!First, it's a blatant rip off of KA's Rock Chick books, and a little advice, if you are going to rip off a book concept, at least make it a good rip off! So because this is so obviously a cheap Rock Chick imitation, I am going to use that series in comparison to this sorry excuse for oneCharactersElliot (cough Liam Nightingale cough) is I believe 25, has brown hair, and blue eyes, and is 6´2. He is also a manwhore (of course), but unlike Lee in the Rock Chick [...]

    • I read this as title ad Beneath your Beautiful<\b>. Apparently, the author did some edits to the original publication of this book. As always I have favorites when it come to the types of books I read. Series are one and add alpha males with romance and ding ding, you have a winner. Well usually, that is.Something just didn't sit right with Elliot to me. He seemed as if in the future he could become an abuser. He was so quick to anger that it disturbed me. Elliott is definitely not my book [...]

    • Whether purposely or not, this story is way, way too close to KA's Rock Chick. 1 - The story is based off of these bad ass tough guys who work for an investigation service that this main hero owns. Same as Lee2 - The hero and heroine have known eachother growing up she was always in love with him and he was just waiting for her to get older. Same as Lee and Indy.3 - They have a hot, annoying pissy receptionist that no one likes, just like Dawn in Rock Chick.4 - She gets kidnapped and he rescues [...]

    • This book needed a good editor, even some excellent beta readers would have done the trick. Too many parts of the book reminded me of a Kristen Ashley book, especially the interactions between Elliott & Rae. (view spoiler)[(Is it a co-incidence that Elliott owns a PI firm that employs super hot, bad-ass guys?? I think not.) (hide spoiler)]

    • 4.5/5I really enjoyed Kasey's first contribution into the writing world. It is a really good book with a sexy as hell, sweet, but sometimes asshattish Alpha Male which is my favorite. You know, the type that doesn't take NO for an answer and you can't get a word in edgewise!! That is Elliot and I loved him so very much. Lorraine ‘Rae’ Scott has been in love with her best friend brother for a long time. But with him not seeming to notice her and his endless supply of women Rae locked her feel [...]

    • I agree with some of the other reviewers, Kasey Millstead is from the Kristen Ashley school of writing except she doesn't quite pull it off. You'll know what I'm talking about as you start reading the book. My issue with the book: Rae is an idiot. Seriously. - Who gives up on relationships based on 1 kiss from 1 date with an a-hole from high school. - Who basically calls their mother a whore just because she's been married 4 times and doesn't like being alone. - Who's in love with her best frien [...]

    • Loved the book and the charactersI thought at times the book moved pretty fast and it was difficult keeping up with everything that was going on between Elliott and Reacially since at times his moods gave me whiplash :)

    • Although the blurbs sounded promising, h's internal monologue was too much, not to mention H's sudden action to claim h was his while they didn't talk to each other for several years.

    • Review of Sapphire by Kasey Millstead Book provide by author for honest review.A no spoiler review!!I would give this book a 3.5 stars… I really wanted to go 4 stars with it, but it fell just a little shy for me. Author Kasey Millstead did an amazing job building her characters into the kind of people that everyone would want to know and be friends with. She found the perfect story to sex ratio in this book. A lot of authors have a hard time finding that balance and I think Kasey managed it ni [...]

    • Reviewed by Whitney@Shooting Stars ReviewsSapphire begins when Rae is out with her friends dancing the night away. She's dancing with this guy when all of a sudden he is literally just not there. She soon finds out that Elliot her best friend's brother, the man she's been in love with for ever, just took the guy away from her. And now he's telling her that they are stopping the "games" and starting a relationship These two have a whole lot of crazy to go through first before they can end up toge [...]

    • Maybe I am just way too much of a Kristen Ashley and Rock Chick fan, but I was pretty appalled by this book and how it was the same story as Rock Chick (but not even a fair comparison because Rock Chick is so great and this is at best mediocre). I will note that the main characters have different names. Instead of Lee and Indy, there is Elliott and Rae. But they have grown up knowing eachother and are just finally getting together. The Elliott has a brother, Travis and they own their own PI-Secu [...]

    • Ok, this one was steamy!! Like from the beginning to the end!! Rae and Kami grew up best friends right from the start of school. Rae also grew up in love with Kami's older brother Elliot. Rae has never had a boyfriend and she doesn't see herself as being enough to snag Elliot. She doesn't even try to date now that she is in college. Keeping to herself she see things staying just how they are, lonely. Elliot has harbored a secret crush on his little sister's friend, Rae, for a long time. He just [...]

    • Sapphire By Kasey Millstead3/5This is Kasey’s first book, I enjoyed the story however felt it was a bit too long.Kasey creates and builds good characters, these 2 BFF’s have each others backs 24/7.At times I just wanted to shake Rae, she was so strong in some areas and not in others.I also didn’t understand why the series was called Steel Investigation? Now Elliott Steel , yumm tall, built, great looking, however at times has the finesse of a bull in a china shop, Its clear he loves Rae.The [...]

    • I would give this book 2.5 stars. I kept getting pulled out of the book by all of the grammatical and spelling errors. If this book were better edited I would probably have given it 3.5 stars. Some of the jargon didn't fit in with the storyline either - the story takes place in Denver, CO and the main characters are Denverites, but Australian/British terminology is used throughout the book. I was familiar with most of the Australian/British terminology used, but it just felt out of place in thi [...]

    • Oh wow kasey's first book I loved it Lorraine aka Rae is out dancing with friends and a guy when all of sudden he isn't there and why is it because sexy hot Elliott Steel is there her best friends older brother that she has loved forever.Sexy hot wicked he has always wanted her now that she is older he wants to claim her as his. There is fun heat passion heartbreak and love. God I loved Elliott and Rae a must read see what goes on for them. You won't be disappointed I couldn't put it down. Thank [...]

    • (maybe spoilers)I think this book could have been made into a 5* but it seemed rushed I couldn't really feel a connection between them, I didn't understand what his business was or the involvement in what he does, it didn't explain what and why things happened eg her step father or kidnapping maybe if we got more of. glimpse of her feelings for him before like when she was a kid if it went in to more detail and showed more emotions I believe it could have been a brilliant book

    • This one was riddled with grammatical errors/word use errors, and read very choppy and rushed overall. The plot was not bad, not completely original but then what romance book really is? It was not a bad idea, but the implementation on this was seriously lacking honestly. I hope the author continues to dream up stories but perhaps get some editorial feedback in the implementation of the stories in her imagination.

    • I wanted to like this. But really couldn't. It felt like she read Kristen Ashley and said "I want to be her!" She claims the book takes place in Denver CO, but uses british terms like snogging and bugger. I felt like too much time was spent on info that doesn't matter like details of washing faces and what she had for lunch than actual building of plot or relationships. I got to the end and felt like I mixed any climax of the book that wasn't sexual in nature.

    • Rae and Elliott oohh my when he says "Rainy no more games. From this moment it's time you start realizing you're mine" I'm pretty sure I needed to change my panties because that was soo hot. From this point forward this book is great! I loved every dominant moment!!! Great book awesome author. Will read more of this series and as many books by Kasey as I can!A True New FanVicki B.

    • Maybe I have been spoiled, or maybe I just read a little too much but for me this book was both predictable and a little boring.I found the characters to be lacking any real depth or development and the storyline slightly unimaginative. Sorry it was well written and an easy enough read but it just didnt grab me.

    • Whoever edited this book, did an insanely poor job. I had issues following the story for all the errors and left out words I kept finding. The book wouldn't have been bad beyond that. I'm still going to read the rest of the series.

    • I enjoyed the book (storyline). The book was not edited properly. Words missing or added in places that should not have been there. Makes it harder to read when books are not edited. I hope her other books are edited better.

    • I adored Lorraine "Rae"!!! Elliot was also amazing, although there are times that I was ready to throttle him. Rae was wonderful and I loved her circle of friends. Kami was so great and I would love to see her get her own story. I will be reading more by this author she is such a great writer.

    • Unfortunately this book didn't hit the mark for me.I love Kasey's other books but I just couldn't get into this oneDon't get me wrong there where times where my heart was racing needing to see what would happen next but it just didn't flow well for me

    • really enjoyed this book, well worth it. looking forward to next instalment! (the cover didnt do it justice though)
