    • Can you handle it? Nate Rockledge can. No matter the situation, his imagination has the power to whisk him away and clue him in on some excellent ideas. And, with the 5th grade class trip to New York City coming up, he needs plenty of them, because it is uncertain that there will be enough money to fund the trip. With his best friend, Tommy, by his side, there's nothing that they can't accomplish, as long as his annoying older sister, Abby, and that rotten Lisa Crane stay out of the way. After a [...]

    • After having an intriguing summer, Nate Rocks is looking forward to the fifth grade. There's plenty to do, including a Halloween dance, and a trip to New York. Homework, this year, is more than the norm, but he's willing to compensate for that ensuring that the trip to New York falls through at all costs. Unfortunately, that's easier said than done.Nate's largest thorn in his side is his older sister, Abby. She's growing up to be just a little too cranky. In her eyes, Nate is someone she can do [...]

    • Karen has me hooked. I love a good romance as much as the next girl, but sometimes I just want something that’s fun and filled with a little less drama. Something that takes me back to being a kid, and even gives me a little insight into my own kids. I even sent Karen a message after reading a line telling her that I actually laughed out loud because it sounded *exactly* like something an eleven-year-old boy would say. I was eagerly awaiting the third book in the Nate Rocks series, and I was n [...]

    • Brandon absolutely love the Nate Rocks series! Nate Rocks the School, Volume 3, was no different! Here's what Brandon has to say about Nate Rocks the School-What I like about Nate Rocks the School is that Nathan has all these cool adventures in his imagination. He draws pictures when he's thinking about it without even thinking about it. Nathan has a laser tag party, but his mom doesn't know that it involves a laser gun; she doesn't like weapons. Nathan told her that the guns were like laser fla [...]

    • When I first got this book, I thought to myself, "Oh, this will be a fun, quick read." And it was, but it was more than that, too.I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the characters that Karen Pokras Toz created. Nate was believable and true to kids age. But while I enjoyed it, I wanted to get the kids perspective on the book. Since I have two avid readers of my own, I loaded the book onto my kindle and passed it on to my thirteen year old son and my ten year old daughter. Now, both of these kids [...]

    • 5 StarsGoing into 5th grade is ‘the best’ as far as Nathan Rockledge and his friends are concerned. They have the Halloween dance to look forward to but even better they will be going on the trip to New York City that every 5th grader gets to experience. Little does Nathan know that the whole class has to fund raise to cover the cost of the trip and he is going to have to put up with ‘Lisa Crane’ and her ‘know it all ways’ to organise the events. This is another great instalment of th [...]

    • My son and I have both read all of the Nate Rocks books so far. He even added his own review of the first book here on my blog. We both agree that following Nate Rocks on his imaginative adventures is both entertaining and exciting. You see, the main character, Nate has a very active imagination. And so does my son. They both love to dream, draw and create their own unique adventures. Nate's dreams and adventures see him saving the world in all sorts of wonderful and creative ways. In Nate Rocks [...]

    • An amazing series for kids (boys especially). Nate's daydreams are so realistic. It's wonderful to see all the places his imagination takes him. He has great friends and a typical teenage sister. He also has a friend (Lisa) yes, a girl who likes him but won't admit it. This is the best Nate Rocks book so far, keep the stories coming Karen! Even though my son is now in 6th grade, he loves reading about 5th grader Nate Rocks!

    • This is the first Nate Rocks book I've read. It was really fun and well written. I can see why my niece liked the first ones (though they are about a boy).
