    • After reading 'Mortal Chaos' and 'Deep Oblivion', the shock-factor that made them so good was a little lost in 'Speed Freaks'. I still finish it in one sitting though. I find that with each book in the "Mortal Chaos" series, the last quarter is the most gripping. It's the climax of the story, when the fates of every individual - connected by some seemingly insignificant incident - are decided!

    • Butterfly effect: The scientific theory that a single occurence, no matter how small, can change the course of the universe forever. A father and son diving off the coast of Hawaii, with the sharks closing in. A scientist in a forest under attack from a savage bear. A young girl who has been kidnapped by drug dealers in Rio. The teenagers surfing on top of a speeding bullet train. For them, and many others, things will never be the same again. Some will live. Many will die. All are connected. Th [...]

    • Loved loved loved this book! Once into it I couldn't get outch like the charactersThis book (and Matt D's others) remind me of a thrill seeking theme park, they r a lot like the popular final destination films and I love the fact he is not so precious with his characters either- just when u think they're safe, they get pulled back under! Rollercoaster ride of a book-leave urself some time before u pick this (or the other books in series) up because u just won't want to let go

    • I enjoyed the first two books in this Matt Dickinson series about Chaos Theory. Speed Freaks was my least favourite. Maybe I was a bit jaded after the first two, but the body count in this one was pretty relentless and I found it less enjoyable because of that.

    • A really crazy ride into the consequences of chaos theory. A quick young-adult book that's impossible to put down!

    • The best book of the series. I loved the ending of the story where the author just announced the series was about the chaos theory.

    • My least favourite of the series but still a gripping read. The death toll certainly rose again in this installment as did the gorier descriptions. They are great quick reads for any age and ability.
