    • I blurbed this book for Diana Paz, and I was, and remain, flattered to be attached to such a wonderful piece of fiction. The concept, which blends the Fates of Greek mythology with both contemporary California and Marie Antoinette's France, had me salivating from the start. Even though Diana succeeds wonderfully with a unique, ingenuitive plot, the concept didn't even end up being my favorite part of devouring this book. That's because her characters absolutely blew me away. The story centers aro [...]

    • I'm going to begin this review by admitting that I am one of the lucky critique partners who read this book several years ago. That being said, I truly love this book. I reread it last night for the umpteenth time, and I can honestly say it gets better every time I read it.The story is told in three points of view—Julia, Angie, and Kaitlyn. I thought it would be difficult to differentiate between the three girls, but Diana does a wonderful job of giving them their own voices, which I think is v [...]

    • I was lucky enough to read this early and I love this story. Magic, romance, time travel, what more could you could ask for?

    • So, disclaimer: I know the author, and I first read this book many moons ago in the rough draft stages. Reading it again after publication was like discovering it all over again, and when I finished I IMed the author and said "So, hey. You're the devil and I want book two now or I'm stealing all the cookies in the world and you'll never have one again."I was serious about that. The book ends on a note that made my heart hurt in the most delicious ways, and made me want more immediately. That fee [...]

    • Diana Paz does an amazing job of weaving history and mythology and the present day together. I was fortunate enough to read an early draft and I absolutely devoured every bit of it when it arrived in my inbox! One of the things I particularly love about Paz's novel is the way she brings three such distinct personalities into play. It feels like there's a Daughter of Fate for every reader to connect with, no matter how different. Each has different challenges they must face, personally as well as [...]

    • Oh wow, this is one of the prettiest covers I've ever seen! As if Time-Travel, Witches & Paris in the 1700's wasn't already enough to have me drooling for this bookwithout forgetting Mythology?! I am SO in!

    • First, a brief synopsisBasically, you got your two average girls, Angie and Julia, trying to make their way through the shark-infested waters of high school. They are bound by magic as daughters of fate, each possessing unique powers entrusted to them by the fates themselves (okay sot-so-averagee me). BUT there's a problem (of course there's a problem :P). They will lose their magic if they don't find the third daughter before Angie turns 17 (which is like superfast!). Luckily, Julia stumbles up [...]

    • *A copy was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.4 Intriguing, Time-Traveling, Mythological Stars!Timespell was an intriguing read, wonderfully detailed and with an interesting concept on the Fates and mythology. I loved the aspect of time-traveling, the three main characters each had their own personalities and meshed well, even when they were fighting. And that ending! Ahhhh! There better be another book; this better be a series! I want more, and I feel like there's plenty m [...]

    • The thing that drew me in first the cover. Wow it is so beautiful. I did a cover reveal a while back and knew at that moment, I wanted to read this book and I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a fast read, I didn't want to put it down. I just needed to know what happened next. I liked the story and the plot line very much and found it very different than what is out there right now which was very refreshing for me.The story is about 3 very different girls, Julia, Angie, and Kaitlyn, who a [...]

    • Review originally posted at Bibliophilia, PleaseTimespell is Diana Paz's debut young adult novel that follows three protagonists: Julia, Angie, and Kaitlyn. We enter the story with Julia and Angie looking for the the third Daughter of Fate, who is necessary to seal their magic, or they will lose it when Angie turns seventeen. Julia and Angie have been friends for years, and Angie was raised knowing that she had magic. She has already sealed Julia to her, and they both have been mentored in their [...]

    • **Read more reviews in my blog, Librarian Mouse**It's been such a long time since I enjoyed a book about time traveling that I'm very, very pleased. The summary does an amazing job summarizing -so obvious, right?- what the book is about but at the same time it doesn't do it justice. Diana Paz makes an amazing debut novel with Timespell by using all the necessary points to create an awesome book that is not only compelling but also full of potential. But enough of that, let me tell you a little bit [...]

    • (Originally posted on the blog)Timespell was truly a wonderful surprise! The cover was initially was tempted me to read it, but I enjoyed the story that was contained within its pages. Combining the elements of time travel and the Fates, Diana Paz does a remarkable job telling the story of three girls who need to go back in time and complete a mission in order to save the day.The reader is immediately introduced to three very different girls early on in the book - Julia, Angie and Kaitlyn. Each [...]

    • First off, I have to say this has one beautiful cover, and a premise that catches your attention. Two best friends that seem to be so very different having to find the third one needed to keep the powers that have been handed down from their ancestors. Definitely sounds like it would be a fun and interesting read. From the beginning, we meet Julia and Angie, they are best friends. The thing is, they couldn’t have been more different. Julia is one those girls who is blunt and sarcastic, my kinda [...]

    • 'Timespell' is an enchanting young adult fantasy novel that delves into both mythology, magic, and time travel. We first meet Julia and Angie, who have discovered their shared destinies as Daughters of Fate - women who have been selected by Fate to keep the Sorceress in the netherworld and to be keepers of time. There's only one problem - they are missing the third Daughter, and without her - they'll lose their magic forever. After discovering that the third Daughter is a snotty girl from their [...]

    • Timespell is a contemporary novel featuring fantastical characters who can travel back in time and wield powers. There are gypsies, fates, gods, a hot guy, arch enemies and historical details. That's Timespell and it's an intriguing, fun read for young adult readers.Best friends and Daughters of Fate, Julia and Angie, need to find the third daughter through their special abilities in order to complete their trio. When they do find her they're not exactly thrilled. The third Daughter is Kaitlyn, [...]

    • imespell tells the story of the Daughters of Fate, three girls who have the power to control time. I have read a ton of YA books that have Greek mythology influences. Timespell uses the three fates as well as monsters such as the minotaur and gorgons. It is a different usage and was really creative. There are only so many demi-god stories that can be told. The three main characters Julia, Angie and Kaitlyn were fantastic. They each narrate the story from time to time, in third person which made [...]

    • I won this book in Facebook from another author. I'm so glad I did. I'm not one who likes to read about witches & Greek mythology unless its Nora Roberts. This was so well written I felt like I was watching a movie in my head as I was reading. It's so well & vividly written. I love that the three girls are Latina and each has a strength. I love the three girls Angie, Julia and Kaitlyn. Well I wasn't a big fan of Kaitlyn. She can be quite annoying and mean in the beginning. Angie and Juli [...]

    • **3 Stars**I received a copy of this book as part of a blog tour.Timespell is written from three different perspectives - Julia, Angie, and Kaitlyn. I'm not normally a fan of jumping books, but the author did a good job with this one. We really did need all three perspectives to get the full picture of what was going on. Although, there were some confusing parts and the ending was really confusing. I'm not quite sure what happened, but am guessing more will be explained in the next book. I liked [...]

    • I love books that weave together history and fictiond then you add in the mythology of the Fatesrfect. (From loc 1060)"Every time the creatures of Mythos kill, the Sorceress becomes more powerful. And history is being altered, little by little, until the world becomes a completely different place." In Timespell, the daughters of Fate travel back in time to Marie Antoinette's France--to the riots, the masquerades, and the people. It's a gorgeous setting and there is plenty of action as they battl [...]

    • I have so many great things to say about this book!Rich with conflict and captivating characters, TIMESPELL is a YA novel I won't soon forget. Great pacing. Vivid writing. Distinctive, larger-than-life characters. Humor sprinkled throughout. I loved this fresh take on everything magic. I didn't want to put it down for anything! I appreciated how each character in this novel was so real, so unique. Julia has serious spunk, personality and strength. Angie is so incredibly sweet and Kaitlyn is anyt [...]

    • Plot: 4 stars Characters: 4 stars Style: 3 1/2stars Pace: 3 1/2 stars (rounding up)Enjoyable. There's a lot going on at once, and while it sometimes becomes almost overwhelming, I suspect much of that was due to the time of day I was usually reading. This isn't a right before bed sort of book. This is an immerse yourself kind of book. It was far more enjoyable once I had time to sit down and really get into it. The pov shifts a bit more than I'd like, with slips even within chapters sometimes, b [...]

    • I really liked this book. The mixture of classical mythology, 18th century France, and the modern characters, was seriously enjoyable. The concept of the Daughters of Fate is a very interesting twist on the "supernatural hero" that has been a popular trope recently. The three main girls were really well-developed characters, and there was definitely a sense that they have a long way to go, and a lot more to learn. The other characters, particularly Ethan, were also fun to read. I won't give the [...]

    • I just kept thinking "Charmed". Three girls destined to become sealed to one another upon their seventeenth birthday or their magic is lost forever; "sisters" and "daughters of Fate", witches, time travel, spells of persuasion, invisibility, and crazy Greek Mythos creatures. An entertaining read with a touch of romance and history. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to any junior high or high school student. A completely clean read as far as context and language goes.

    • An entertaining story with a whole of magic, some history and romance. The story is told in three points of view, which I thought would be confusing, but the author does an excellent job of giving each girl her own voice.
